Special Person Day - Friday 20th May

13 May 2022 (by admin)

This is taking place next Friday (20th May). Children need to bring £1 in by next Friday to take part in this Special event. Please see more information below.

SPECIAL  PERSON  DAY  IS  BACK !

This has not been on a calendar for the last 2 years due to Covid but we are really pleased to announce that it will be happening.

For those of you who don’t know this is a day when our children get the opportunity to say thank you to someone who is very special to them. The children decorate a bag and then come down to the KS1 Dining Hall which is set up like a shop. All children then get the chance to buy an item for £1 to give to someone special in their lives. This could be a mummy, grandad, sister, step dad, foster carer, nan to name just a few. With all that has happened with the pandemic I think there are many people out there to whom our children would like to thank.

Prior to the day I have spent time with parents in coffee mornings wrapping and sometimes making gifts for the day. We do have a number of gifts already which we had started wrapping for the Special Person Day in 2020 before Covid hit. However this is a last shout out for donated items such as toiletries, jewellery, candles, small toys and particularly men’s gifts. We charge £1 for a gift so it would be items that are suitable for this price range – or things like toiletry sets which we can separate into several gifts. If you can help please leave items at the school office. Thanks very much in anticipation.

If you would like to speak to someone about this please email lorraine.boddy@seely.nottingham.sch.uk or ring 07566733409.

Thank you
