60 Things to do at Seely Before 11¾
The National Trust created a ‘50 things’ list to encourage families to play in nature together and build an enduring connection with the natural world; for children to explore their senses in the wild, care for plants and creatures, and reflect on their feelings in different landscapes. Research tells us these experiences of connecting with nature boost children’s physical, social and mental development. And it’s lots of fun too.
At Seely, we want to ensure that our children are able to have these wider experiences and we know that not all families can access National Trust sites and these adventures.
Therefore, we have created our own list of experiences, pertinent to each year group and closely linked with our creative curriculum, to allow children a wide range of outdoor and developmental experiences. These are planned across the academic year, in line with topics, seasons, visits and opportunities.
