Closure of Seely Out of School Club

29 April 2021 (by admin)

Parents who have been using the Seely Out of School Club for childcare have been notified today of their decision to close at half term due to financial pressures - see copy of the notification attached.

We have been in talks with the club for a few weeks exploring ways of supporting them

The club is runs completely independently to our school, with separate governance and Ofsted registration. We are not in a position to take this over.

We have wavered the last 18 months’ rent that they have been due to pay us as a way of supporting the club financially.

We are looking into other providers taking the club over, so if you know of any company that would be interested, please ask them to contact us; we have the space, the resources, the staff and a full club with waiting list for them to run with!

In the meantime, please check the link below to look for OFSTED approved and registered childminders in the area. We are planning an event in school to host an "Introduction to Childminding" very soon to hopefully add to the available list of childminders in the area so please keep an eye out for details of this.

Please support us by asking around.

Finally, we would like to thank the club for the past 18 years of running at the school on behalf of all of the families that have been using it.

Thank you
