Year 5 Megafest Tornament:

On Tuesday 14th March a group of our Y5 children attended a Megafest event at Harvey Hadden Sports Village alongside other City Primary School children.

They participated in new age curling, dodgeball, relay races and a team building challenge. The event was enormous fun for everyone

World Book Day 2022

Well, what a fantastic World Book Day!

A huge thank you to everyone who took part to raise the profile of reading across the school. The children & staff looked fantastic, and there was a real buzz around school. It was brilliant to see your recycled & home-made costumes when we did our assemblies.

Our classroom doors have all been transformed into different book covers, and the children all completed a door-tour to have a look at all the creative designs. I’m sure you’ll agree that they look fantastic (see below).

Please ask your child to tell you all about their ‘Greta and the Giants’ work. We have all been reading the book and spending lots of times writing stories, letters, poems and reports about the story and the issue of climate change. There will be a display of writing and artwork appearing in the reception area of school soon so watch this space!

We are still accepting book donations for our ‘Book Swap’ library, so if you have any books that you no longer need, we’d be very grateful.

Thank you and well done Seely!

Athletics Tournament:

On Tuesday 22nd February sixteen of our Y4 children participated in an Indoor Athletics tournament at Harvey Hadden Sports Village.

The group competed against six other Nottingham City Schools and enjoyed having a go at a number of track and field events. The entire group were a credit to our school and both Mrs Cosslett and Mrs Lee were impressed with their positive attitudes, brilliant sporting effort and exemplary behaviour. The afternoon was thoroughly enjoyed by all!
