Update from Nottingham City Council on school opening - important information

29 May 2020 (by admin)

Dear Parents and carers, Please find attached a letter, which we have just received, from our city council detailing their position on the wider opening of schools as from next week.

You will read that the council says that Nottingham City schools should not open wider to other year groups in school.

For Seely, we had not planned to open any wider this next week, but had planned for year 6 to come in week commencing 8th June. This is now NOT the case.

We continue to be open to the children of key workers and vulnerable families, as we have been.

The council have not issued any kind of review date for their position, so we are not planning for any year groups to be in school in the near future at least.

Our thanks go to yourselves for being so patient as we have planned our phased introduction to more pupils, and to our staff who have worked so hard in planning for and maintaining a safe environment for our pupils.

We will keep you updated as soon as we hear any more.
