Nottingham Education Sanctuary Team (NEST)
We have worked with Nottingham Education Sanctuary Team (NEST) for a few years now.
NEST is a full-time educational provision for asylum seeker and refugee young people, aged 15-19 years. As a specialist provision for newly arrived asylum seekers and refugees who are new to English, many have no previous formal educational experience and no literacy in first language.
Each year, NEST students come to Seely to complete work experience.
In June 2023, members of staff from NEST came to Seely to deliver an assembly about World Refugee Day. We will be hosting NEST students again in 2023-24.
