Capital One

Seely first started working with Capital One when Dave Richards and Emma Allen both agreed to help with our Diversity Defenders and Rainbow Rangers Pupil Leadership groups. Dave and Emma supported pupils to write action plans and carry out their visions to make Seely a more inclusive school for everyone.

The Rainbow Rangers wanted to paint the fence in the Key Stage 2 playground to brighten it up and also show inclusion for the LGBT+ community. Dave gave up his time to come and support us and helped us purchase the paint we needed by donating money from Capital One.

For the 2023-24 academic year, Dave has recruited colleagues Ben and EJ to support with our Pupil Leadership groups. Here they are meeting the 2023-24 Rainbow Rangers at the start of their action planning session.

Emma invited our Rainbow Rangers and Key Stage 2 Diversity Defenders to Capital One in September to take part in their Inclusion Week. Pupils met Capital One staff members, had a tour of the building (they liked the games room best!) and then enjoyed a multi-cultural lunch whilst discussing their plans for diversity and inclusion throughout the year ahead.

In January and February 2024, our Year 5 pupils will be participating in Capital One's Pathways workshops which focus on careers and aspirations. These sessions will be conducted by Capital One staff in school and the same pupils will have the opportunity to visit Capital One for further aspirations work when they are in Year 6.
