Garcia Project Year 5
As part of the Garcia project at the Nottingham Contemporary, Year 5 worked with an artist to create an animation.
The children drew, coloured, cut out and assembled characters. They rehearsed the character’s movements and photographed these against a green backing.
They thought about how to use their own acting, made captions, sound effects and added backing music to create an adventure with narrative.
This collaborative performance piece was turned into an animation and shown at the celebration event at the Nottingham Contemporary.
