Light Night 2015

'Illuminate our minds & reflect'

Friday 6th February

Our event was an amazing success with children from across all ages of the school reading their stories to the public by the Robin Hood statue at Nottingham Castle and a real accolade to be the only primary school to exhibit at the event!

It was a very proud moment for the whole family and staff from the school to see our children perform their stories to a live audience. The children read with confidence and expression which attracted some lovely comments from members of the public.

Every KS1 & KS2 class designed and made a panel. Story settings depicted  space, a land of magic, a fairy waterfall, tropical rainforest to name but a few.

The Foundation Stage made a specially designed book cover for all of the stories to be read from.

About 45 children aged 4 to 10 read stories they had written. They loved wearing the cloak in our lit gazebo.

The cloak is now on display in our entrance hall.
